Throughout history kites have always been a source of excitement and magic. In the past thirteen years Bruce Flora and his associates have rekindled the wonder of kites utilizing new technology and creative ideas.

With over 1,300 performances behind them, in arenas ranging from small city festivals, National Festivals and Major League Baseball Games to multi million dollar productions. the KITEMAN PRODUCTIONS team remains the world leader in innovative kite shows.

This group was the first to utilize towing steerable kites behind vehicles (4-wheel ATV’s, speedboats & SeaDoo watercraft) to insure show consistency under most any weather conditions. First of a kind launch systems and high performance kite designs have made it possible to stage an exciting show in virtually any type of arena. Shows using choreographed trains of kites have been staged inside the Montreal Olympic Stadium, on frozen lakes and canals, in an ocean harbor in Curacao for Master Card International, on football fields, on the EPCOT World Showcase Lagoon and in small bodies of water between hotels at Walt Disney World.

Many shapes, sizes and colors of kites are used to customize a show. Multiple steerable kites are linked together to form long trains of kites that can be equipped with 100 foot long air tube tails. Different types of kites are used to create high speed up beat effects or flowing graceful flight patterns allowing for music and theme variations.

Owner Bruce Flora was one of the first to pioneer leading edge technologies to create spectacular night kite shows. Kites are now equipped with onboard radio control systems that power super LED’s, electro luminescent fibers, spotlights, high power strobes and fireworks.

A team of dedicated professional technicians, boat drivers and kite pilots makes these shows safe, precise and consistent.

In addition to formal kite performances KITEMAN PRODUCTIONS utilizes the worlds largest kites (30 ft. wingspans) to elevate a multitude of flying banners, 200 ft. air worms, 90 ft. spinsocks, 12.7 story high wind bols and 100 ft. inflatable kites. With space and wind, aerial marketing and displays can fill the sky and be seen for miles. Many promotional and saleable items have been developed to place a sponsor’s name on positive image flying products.

Consulting services for show development and related aerial productions (hang gliders, Para planes, ultra light aircraft, hot air balloons, & dirigibles) are a continuous activity at KITEMAN PRODUCTIONS. Recent consulting contracts include clients such as: World Cup Soccer Games 1994, Euro Disney, Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Port Aventura, Spain, National Capitol Commission (Canadian Government), Bombardier Corporation, and various independent show directors. Recently shows have been performed for Chrysler Corporation, American Airlines, Splendid China, Shell Oil, and Anheuser Busch (Cypress Gardens ) among others.

KITEMAN PRODUCTIONS provided an extensive training and development program for Cypress Gardens Florida (Anheuser-Busch) that resulted in the worlds first daily Kite-Ski Show.

In the fall of 1995 KITEMAN PRODUCTIONS co-produced the Epcot World Festival of Kites, the largest kiting event in the world. Records were broken for the world’s largest kite from Peter Lynn (72 ft. wide and 165 ft. long) and the world’s smallest kite (1/16 sq. in. surface area).

Utilizing its experience in aerodynamics & fabrics, KITEMAN has recently expanded a new product line to incorporate animated Feather Banners™ and wind related products for: advertising, parades, marketing campaigns and stage productions. The Indy 200 the Indy 500 & multiple Walt Disney World projects have recently used these products.

In March of 1999 Universal Studios Hollywood opened a permanent nighttime lagoon show at their new park, Universal’s Port Aventura near Barcelona, Spain featuring four different types of custom kites produced by Kiteman Productions. Some kites in this show have radio controlled effects controlled by on-board computers on each kite. All R&D, manufacturing and training were accomplished by Kiteman Productions.

With or without wind, day or night, on land or water, indoors or out, for 2,000 or 250,000 spectators; the spectacle of dancing colorful kites performing daring maneuvers brings back the sparkle of excitement everyone has experienced at one time in their life
